Working with clients so they create a comprehensive business plan. Business Plans are essential for setting up a successful business and attracting potential funding and/or investors, the Key components being as follows:


1. Executive Summary


  • Overview: Provide a brief overview of the business, mission, and vision.
  • Objectives: State clear goals for the business, both short and long-term.
  • Value Proposition: Describe what makes the business unique and why it will succeed.
  • Key Financial Highlights: Include brief financial projections, such as revenue targets and

        profitability expectations.


2. Company Description


  • Business Structure: Outline the legal structure (e.g., Limited, Partnership).
  • Industry Overview: Describe the industry, market trends, and where the business fits.
  • Mission & Vision: Define the company’s mission, vision, and core values.
  • Location: Specify the physical or digital location of the business.
  • Products/Services: Provide a high-level overview of what the business will offer.


3. Market Analysis


  • Target Market: Describe the target audience, including demographics and psychographics.
  • Market Size and Trends: Assess market size, growth potential, and industry trends.
  • Competitive Analysis: Identify main competitors, their strengths and weaknesses, and

        potential advantages or differentiators.

  • Customer Needs: Explain the problem the product/service is solving for potential customers and why the solution fits.


4. Organisation & Management


  • Ownership Structure: Detail ownership and shareholders.
  • Management Team: List key team members, their roles, and relevant experience.
  • Advisors: Identify any board members or advisors who add value.
  • Personnel Plan: Outline staffing needs and anticipated uplift in personnel.


5. Products or Services


  • Product/Service Description: Describe the offerings in detail.
  • Unique Features: Highlight what sets the product or service apart (USP’s).
  • Lifecycle: Include information on where the product or service is in its lifecycle.
  • Research and Development: Past, and if applicable, mention ongoing or planned R&D

        initiatives.


6. Marketing & Sales Strategy


  • Marketing Plan: Define the marketing channels, messaging, and promotional activities.
  • Sales Strategy: Detail how sales will be executed, fulfilled and managed.
  • Pricing: Outline pricing strategy and how it aligns with market positioning.
  • Customer Retention: Explain strategies for customer service and retention.


7. Funding Request (if needed - it usually is!)


  • Funding Requirements: Specify the amount of funding needed and how it will be used.
  • Future Funding: Address potential future funding needs (Stages).
  • Investor Benefits: Outline the benefits for investors (ROI) or lenders (Affordability).


8. Financial Projections


  • Revenue Forecast: Project revenue and growth over three (Min) to five years.
  • Expense Forecast: Break down fixed and variable costs.
  • Profit and Loss: Include a projected income statement.
  • Cash Flow Statement: Provide expected cash flow.
  • Break-even Analysis: Identify the point at which revenue covers expenses.


9. Appendix


  • Additional Documents: Include supporting documents, such as CV’s, legal agreements,

        patents, trade marks, and product images etc.

  • Market Research: Include any detailed reports or surveys that further support claims.
  • Detailed Financials: Include any additional financial projections or documents
